Welcome to Mama Bear's Hideaway. After a day of adventures on the mountains, lake, or one of the two local ski resorts, you will likely unwind by sliding into the large hot tub and stare into the tops of one of the numerous pine trees. Breath deep... as the air is cold and clean. Nestled in the trees of lower Moonridge, and conveniently located right on the bus route to Bear Mountain Resort for skiing, snowboarding, and snow play. Or take the 2-minute drive to Snow Summit Ski Resort instead. Night-time entertainment abounds in numerous restaurants, bars, and cafes spread throughout the town and Big Bear Village.

It offers 5 bedrooms, 3.5 bathrooms, a wood-burning fireplace, a game room with pool table, a media room with gas fireplace, updated kitchen, built-in BBQ, a relaxing out-door lounge patio with a fire pit table (closed during winter months), and brand new hot tub under the numerous fragrant pine trees speckling the lot.

FIRST FLOOR: Past the white picket fence through the garden and patio, you enter the cabin and will see the cozy couch with TV and gas fireplace. To the left, it has a media room with a wrap-around couch for watching movies or your favorite sporting events. One bedroom on this floor includes a queen bed with a twin bunk bed and access to a full bathroom. Out the sliding glass door, you will find a covered breezeway with oversized built-in BBQ, a large outdoor dining table with heating elements in the middle of the table, and a large fenced-in private patio with lounge furniture and hot tub for 6 people. The first floor also includes a completely renovated and updated kitchen for the chefs of your party as well as a dining room with seating and an adjustable table for 8-12 guests.

SECOND FLOOR: Up the stairs, you will find the master suite with a king bed and an en suite with a shower and bathtub. Across the hall is bedroom 3 and 4 both with a queen-sized bed. Down a hallway, a game room, and bedroom number 5 with a pool table, wet bar, and the perfect bunk bed (twin over full bunk) sleeping for 2-3 children. A great cozy location for all your adventurers to gather. The laundry facilities and the 3rd full bath are also on this floor.

Only about 100 miles northeast of Los Angeles, Big Bear Lake is a beautiful and convenient break from the hustle and bustle of the city. This nature lover's paradise provides endless year-round activities. In the winter, Big Bear Lake offers skiing, snowboarding, snowshoeing, and tubing. In the summer, visitors love to play water sports, horseback rides, golf, hike, and mountain bike. Head to Big Bear when you need a healthy dose of fresh air, exercise, and rejuvenation.

• Use of outdoor spas and other outdoor activities are prohibited from 10 pm - 7 am.
• No amplified sound is permitted outside at any time. Indoor sound cannot be loud enough to be audible at the property line.
• AC does NOT go below 74 degrees
• The gas fire pit table will be closed during the winter
• Winter weather warning- From November through March, all vehicles are required to carry chains in their vehicle.
• No pets allowed. The homeowner is extremely allergic and potentially anaphylactic
• This home can accommodate 12 people but a maximum of 12 adults.
• Guests are responsible for disposing trash at local dumpsite in accordance with City of Big Bear policy. Charges may apply if left on property
• You must be 25 years or older to book this property.
• Please note our occupancy includes an additional two beyond bed count. Trifold floor mattresses and additional linens can be provided upon request.

Guests do not have access to the garage at this home.

This home comes with a pack n' play travel crib and a high chair available.

Live check-ins are required for all our Big Bear homes and you will be asked to sign a Big Bear Good Neighbor Policy prior to your stay. Upon arrival to Big Bear our staff will meet you at our local AvantStay office and provide your check-in details. We do not accept check-ins after 7pm. Please note that the reservation holders will need to be available for the live-check-in.

Accidental Damage Protection: A non-refundable accidental damage protection plan has been included in the price of your reservation. Under this plan, you will not be held responsible to pay for accidental damage or loss to the rental property resulting from you or others in your party up to $2000. This plan does not cover intentional acts of a guest, gross negligence, or willful and wanton conduct, and/or damages caused by pets. This plan is not available for reservations 30 days or longer or reservations that require a security deposit.
