This expansive home has three bedrooms downstairs, plus a huge upstairs loft and game room, three bathrooms, sleeping 14 guests, two large redwood decks (front and back), Wi-Fi, and over ½ acre of beautifully maintained landscaping. The home features an expansive, sun-filled great room with a wood-burning fireplace and a 2-story wall of windows. This home is one of the very few homes in Big Bear Lake with a secure gated backyard for families and especially young children. The Mallard Bay area is centrally located only a few minutes to the village and Alpine Sledding and ten minutes to Snow Summit. With easy access to the lake, the village, ski slopes, and hiking trails, this lakefront estate is perfectly located for all your adventures in Big Bear Lake. The large fenced backyard is perfect for winter snow play and situated to watch the amazing July 4th fireworks in the summer.
FIRST FLOOR: The first floor offers an expansive open floor plan that brings the family together while cooking, dining, or relaxing. Walk-in through the front door and you will say "WOW' as your eyes peer through the two-story wall of windows and focus on the serenity of the lake. The living room is equipped with an HDTV with satellite service and all the internet-based services such as Netflix and HULU. The kitchen is stocked with the tools of the trade and has an eat-in breakfast bar with its own sink. For the cook, there is a four-burner gas grill, two large microwaves, and an oven. The rear deck overlooking the lake has a 5-burner propane barbecue grill, a large dining table, a swing for two, and comfortable sofa/side chair seating for five. The beautiful redwood front deck is perfect for quiet conversation and wine tasting overlooking the park-like landscaping. Dine inside at the large table surrounded by tall windows highlighting the mature pine trees and blue sky. This is nature at its best! The master suite has a king-sized bed, (sleeps 2), an HDTV, a wood-burning fireplace, and a full bathroom with a shower and a large deep soaking tub. The other two large bedrooms share a bathroom between them (one room has a king bed (sleeps two) and the other with a queen bed (sleeps two). Sleeping a total of six guests on the first floor.
SECOND FLOOR: The second floor is considered the fourth bedroom with a large loft having two large closets behind sliding doors. Accommodations here include three twins (sleeps three) a bunk bed with a twin (sleeps one) on top over a full bed (sleeps two), and a pull-out queen-sized sleeper sofa (sleeps three). There is plenty of room here for additional blow-up mattresses or sleeping bags. The loft includes a full-sized pool table, electronic dartboard, wet bar, a large TV for computer gaming, as well as board games and puzzles. Sleeping a total of up to (8) guests. The kids have their own space upstairs allowing the adults to indulge in conversation, relaxation, and cooking downstairs.
