The most convenient airport to fly into is Charleston International Airport (CHS). If you're staying further from city center or want to venture to the beach, we suggest renting a car. However, because many of the city's art galleries, scenic homes, and renowned restaurants are close together, the best way to explore downtown Charleston is on foot. DASH shuttles hit many popular sites and museums for $2 one-way and $7 for a day pass and Uber and Lyft are also readily available.
