Sea breezes and slow mornings set the rhythm at Blue Water Bliss, a second-floor coastal condo tucked into one of Port Aransas' most easygoing beachfront communities. The sand sits just a short walk away, and everything inside is built for the kind of unhurried days the Gulf Coast does best.
The open-concept living area keeps everyone together, with plush seating, a large TV for movie nights, and a fully equipped kitchen lined with barstools for passing around snacks while you map out the day's beach plans. Thoughtful extras like board games, puzzles, and soft blankets give the space a lived-in warmth that makes it feel less like a rental and more like a second home.
When it's time to wind down, the primary suite offers a king bed and its own TV for a restful retreat. The second bedroom sleeps the rest of the group in comfort, pairing a queen bed with a twin XL bunk that younger travelers tend to claim first. Two full bathrooms keep mornings moving, so no one's waiting around before the first swim.
Out on the private balcony, Gulf views and a steady sea breeze make an easy spot for morning coffee or a quiet end to the day. When the waves call, the beach is only a short stroll away along the community boardwalk.
Blue Water Bliss sits within the coveted Island Retreat community, a palm-dotted, 25-acre stretch with its own boardwalk running right over the dunes to the sand. Guests have access to a generous spread of shared amenities, including two swimming pools, tennis and pickleball courts, sprawling lawns, charcoal grills, picnic areas, and a fish cleaning station for the day's catch. Set right off 11th Street and inside the golf cart zone, the community puts Port A's restaurants, boutiques, and outdoor adventures within easy reach. Golf carts are the local way to get around, and guests can rent one through Coastal Ed's --- booking ahead is the surest way to lock in availability.
Beyond the complex, Port Aransas rewards every kind of traveler. Cast a line off Horace Caldwell Pier, set out on a dolphin tour or fishing charter, or wander the trails at the Port Aransas Nature Preserve at Charlie's Pasture. Miles of open Gulf beach stretch in either direction, ready for long walks, sandcastles, and front-row sunsets.
