Palomar Avenue runs straight west to Windansea, the stretch of coast known for its palm-thatched surf shack, sandstone ledges, and front-row sunsets. Bird Rock's coffee shops and cafés are about a mile south, and La Jolla Village's boutiques, galleries, and restaurants are a short drive north, along with the sea lions at La Jolla Cove and kayaking at La Jolla Shores.
