Square footage is the starting point, not the finish line. Our large group homes are selected for open-plan living areas, outdoor spaces, and amenities — private pools, game rooms, wraparound decks — that make a group trip actually work.
Every AvantStay property is professionally inspected and hotel-clean before you arrive. What you see in the listing is exactly what you get, backed by 24/7 support throughout your stay.
Paso Robles's wine country landscape and farm-to-table dining scene appeal to groups looking for a slower, more immersive experience. wine tasting and olive oil tours and Central Coast wine country give groups a shared itinerary that unfolds naturally. A home in wine country becomes the retreat between tastings and farm dinners. Groups prefer staying in one home in Paso Robles over booking multiple hotel rooms because they stay connected, cook together, share common spaces, and often cut nightly costs in half. That single home becomes the heart of the trip rather than just a place to sleep.
Hands down, the best Airbnb we've ever stayed at. The home was even more amazing in-person. The backyard was so incredibly spacious with beautiful views. We visited in December, so it was too cold to use the pool, but the jacuzzi was easy to heat up/operate -- very relaxing, especially with the pool lights & waterfall turned on.
None of us have been able to go out to bars or clubs this year due to the pandemic, but the bar and arcade games in the game room almost made up for that -- it was so much fun!
The kitchen was well stocked, more so than any other Airbnb we've ever stayed at. I brought a few of my own kitchen items just in case, but ended up not needing them. AvantStay was very thoughtful and generous with what they included in the home.
The home was very clean. It's NOT one of those Airbnbs that makes you load the laundry machines/dishwasher, take out the trash, etc. before checkout. AvantStay has their homes professionally cleaned. We can confirm this because we left something at the Airbnb -- when we came back to pick it up, we were greeted by a team of professional cleaners.
Customer service was excellent. In the days leading up to the trip, AvantStay sent me a house manual with detailed instructions on how to operate everything. When we checked in, a local point of contact reached out to me by text to let me know she was nearby if we needed anything. I texted her a few random questions throughout our stay -- i.e. are there any lighters in the house to light the fire bowls? And she surprised me by knowing exactly which kitchen drawer they were in!
The home is located on a private road and all the neighbors are rather far away, so you shouldn't have any issues with noise complaints as long as you keep noise levels at a reasonable level.
Our group had such a fantastic experience that we wanted to extend our stay and we're already planning our next trip with AvantStay.
Really nice getaway with plenty of indoor and outdoor space to spread out, while only being ~10mins drive from downtown Paso. The professional hosting company, Avast Stay, was very responsive, check in/out instructions were clear, and there were some nice bonus touches waiting for us when we arrived. Overall were very happy with our stay.
The main rooms in the house are really comfortable: a lounge room, a game room, formal dining, and an informal dining attached to the kitchen. There is also a gym attached to the garage. Outdoors there is a long deck that takes advantage of the great views of the surrounding hills and farms, with a great pool area for warmer months (it was pretty cold when we stayed, though there is an option to heat the pool for an extra fee). The game room is awesome, with a sunken bar, pool table, foosball, and a big screen TV, it's a great place to hang out and watch a game. The living room is also well appointed with couches and eclectic art; it's another great hangout space.
The bedrooms are a little dated, but they were clean and functional. The kitchen and master bath have both been updated, the former having good appliances and plenty of dishes and cookware. Overall this place could easily host a large group (16 adults) but for a covid-specific getaway with need to spread out and work remotely, I would limit a group to 8-10 adults and a few kids ...possibly more in warmer months when you can make extended use of the outdoor space. Wifi was solid, if not spectacular. 3 of us took video calls simultaneously without issue.
Overall highly recommend for a getaway in the Paso area!
Had a brithday get together here! It was a amazing home. There was a bunch of places to hang out
Kitchen: Well stocked with pans and tools to get your cook on. Loved the dual oven set up and they even have a proofer if you're really into baking. We spent a lot of time here just cooking and hanging out.
Dining room: We spent time hanging out having a few drinks and enjoying one of our take out dinners
Family Room: HUGE! We had a group of 17 of us and there are a space for us to sit and chill and play games and just hang out.
Bedrooms: All were nice, the one open bedroom didn't seem to affect anyone staying in there. All the main bedrooms were amazing. The masterbedroom is HUMONGOUS!
Pool: Was a great time but it was a little chilly out and it was windy so ddidn't spend too much time out there but it was great. One nice thing would've been a heated pool. I think I called ahead to ask and was told it was not available but the listing said it did so might want to get that adjusted.
Game room: Really nice touch but didn't spend much time in here but loved the foosball and pool table!
All in all it was an amazing home and a great time. Jill, the local host manager, was amazing and super helpful. Once caveat is that the wifi speed was a little slow for us. We didn't use it that often I'd say but definitely wouldn't recommend working from here. But honestly, it was nice to just be off the grid and just spend time with friends and loved ones.
I would definitely come back here!
