Left on Top of the World sits at the very top of Legacy Mountain in Sevierville, where the Great Smoky Mountains roll out in every direction and the morning fog settles into the valleys below. It's a big, wood-wrapped cabin built for the trips where everyone comes along: a company retreat, three generations of family, a church group, a wedding party that wants to stay under one roof. With 12 bedrooms, each with its own attached bathroom, and room for up to 58 guests, nobody gets sent to a hotel down the road and nobody waits in line for the shower.
The main level is open and easy to gather in. Living, dining, and kitchen spaces flow together, so whoever is cooking stays part of the conversation, and the same space works for a team kickoff in the morning and a game night after dinner. The dining area seats around 16, with additional seating available so all 58 guests can sit down to a meal together. The kitchen is set up for a crowd, with two refrigerators, two ovens, two dishwashers, and two microwaves, so a big breakfast before a Dollywood day or a family dinner after one never turns into a bottleneck. From October through April, the fireplace turns the living room into the natural place to end the night.
Downstairs is where the fun lives. The game room has a pool table and air hockey for the friendly rivalries that always come up on group trips. The theater is set up for a proper movie night, with a popcorn maker and a mini fridge right there so nobody misses the good part on a snack run. When the credits roll, head out to one of the two 7-person hot tubs and watch the ridgelines fade into the dark. In the morning, the covered decks and rocking chairs are the best seats in the house for coffee and a view across the Smokies.
Sleeping space is spread across three levels so smaller groups within the group can find their own corner, and every bedroom has its own bathroom. On the main level, bedrooms five, six, and seven each have a king bed, with a twin futon in five and seven and a twin over twin trundle in six. A queen sleeper sofa in the main living area adds a little extra room.
The lower level holds bedrooms one through four, each with a king. Bedroom one adds a futon, bedrooms two and three each add a twin over twin trundle, and bedroom four adds a twin futon. The downstairs living area has a queen sleeper sofa and two twin futons, so it doubles as a sleepover space for the kids after movie night.
Upstairs, bedrooms eight, nine, eleven, and twelve each have a king. Bedrooms eight and eleven add a twin futon, and bedrooms nine and twelve add a twin over twin trundle. Bedroom ten is the bunk room, with two queen over queen bunk beds and space for eight. A laundry room keeps longer stays easy.
The cabin sits right next to the Legacy Mountain clubhouse, so access to the community's seasonal outdoor pool and the pavilion with its outdoor fireplace is just a few steps away. Legacy Mountain Ziplines operates just down the road if anyone in the group wants to see the Smokies from above.
This side of Sevierville feels tucked away, with quiet mountain roads and long views, but you're still only minutes from the action. Dollywood and the Pigeon Forge Parkway are a short drive away, along with The Island and its giant observation wheel. Downtown Gatlinburg and the Sugarlands entrance to Great Smoky Mountains National Park are an easy day trip for hiking, waterfalls, and scenic drives, and you'll be back on the mountain in time for sunset.
Traveling with an even bigger group? Left on Top of the World can be booked together with its neighboring sister cabin, Right on Top of the World. Together the two cabins sleep up to 116 guests, each with its own kitchen, theater, game room, and hot tubs, so everyone can be together without being on top of each other.
