Top of the World pairs two cabins at the very top of Legacy Mountain in Sevierville, Left on Top of the World and Right on Top of the World, sitting side by side with nothing above them but sky. Book them together and you get 24 bedrooms, each with its own attached bathroom, and room for up to 116 guests. That's a full company retreat with nobody bused in from a hotel, a wedding weekend where the bridal party and the grandparents all wake up on the same mountain, or the family reunion that finally includes every cousin.
Mornings up here start with fog settled into the valleys and the ridgelines showing up one at a time as it lifts. By evening the whole range turns orange and pink. Both cabins have long covered decks lined with rocking chairs, and they're the best seats on the mountain for either one.
Having two cabins instead of one giant building is what makes a group this size work. Each has its own open main level where the living, dining, and kitchen spaces run together, so whoever is cooking stays part of the conversation. Teams can split up for breakouts in the morning and regroup for dinner. Families can give the night owls one cabin and the early risers the other. And because the cabins are right next door to each other, getting everyone in one place for a toast or a group photo never takes much.
Both kitchens were set up for a crowd, each with two refrigerators, two ovens, two dishwashers, and two microwaves. Dining was planned for full occupancy too. Between the long tables, island seating, and bar seating, each cabin seats its entire house at once, so a group dinner or a working lunch happens together instead of in shifts, and the coffee stations keep the early risers going before anyone else is up. Breakfast before a Dollywood day moves fast when you have four of everything.
Every one of the 24 bedrooms has its own bathroom, so a full house never lines up for the shower. The two cabins share the same layout, with sleeping space spread across three levels so smaller groups within the group can claim their own corner. In each one, eleven bedrooms have king beds, most paired with a futon or a twin over twin trundle for a kid or an extra guest, and bedroom ten is the bunk room, with two queen over queen bunks and space for eight. Queen sleeper sofas on the main and lower levels add a little more room, and two twin futons downstairs turn each lower living area into a ready-made sleepover spot after movie night. Each cabin also has its own laundry room, which keeps longer stays easy.
Downstairs is where the fun lives in both houses. Each cabin has its own theater with a popcorn maker and a mini fridge right there, so nobody misses the good part on a snack run, and its own game room with a pool table and air hockey for the rivalries that always show up on group trips. Right on Top adds a lounge area with extra seating. With two of each, the movie crowd and the tournament crowd never have to negotiate. When the night winds down, four hot tubs are waiting out on the decks, each one seating seven, so 28 people can soak under the stars at the same time. From October through April each living room has a fireplace that makes it the natural place to end the night.
The cabins sit right next to the Legacy Mountain clubhouse, so access to the community's seasonal outdoor pool and the pavilion with its outdoor fireplace is just a few steps away. Legacy Mountain Ziplines runs just down the road for anyone who wants to see the Smokies from above.
This side of Sevierville feels tucked away, with quiet mountain roads, long views, and very little traffic, but the area's biggest draws are an easy drive. Dollywood and the Pigeon Forge Parkway are a short trip down the mountain, along with The Island and its giant observation wheel. Downtown Gatlinburg and the Sugarlands entrance to Great Smoky Mountains National Park make a simple day trip for hiking, waterfalls, and scenic drives, and you'll be back up top in time for sunset.
One thing I kept as written because the feedback didn't touch it: "Right on Top adds a lounge area with extra seating." If the cabins truly mirror each other, confirm that Left doesn't also have one, otherwise that line undersells it.
