The name is not just a pun. Take it to the Bank sits right on the banks of Lake Norman, with a private dock reaching out over the water and three stories of glass built to keep the view in sight. This is a genuinely private stretch of shoreline, the kind of place where mornings start with coffee on the covered patio and the occasional heron drifting past.

The backyard does most of the heavy lifting. A heated pool anchors it, with a spa that spills over the edge in a steady sheet of water. When the sun drops, you have options: gather around the fire table, pull chairs up to the traditional fire pit down by the water, or stay under cover in the lounge area. The covered patio also holds a dining table for 14, so dinner happens outside more often than not. A gas grill sits ready on the back patio with propane provided, and two kayaks are available for paddling out from the dock once a quick liability waiver is signed.

Inside, the main level opens wide. Vaulted, wood-beamed ceilings run over the living room, the chef's kitchen with its long island, and a dining table for 10, all facing walls of glass toward the lake. A shuffleboard table keeps the competitive streaks busy, and a full laundry room handles the wet towels. The primary suite lives on this level too, with a king bed, an ensuite full bath, and its own slider to the patio. A half bath serves everyone else.

Upstairs, one bedroom holds two queens and another has a single queen, sharing a full hall bath between them. The lower level mirrors that setup with two more bedrooms of two queens each and their own shared full bath, which puts the total at five bedrooms sleeping 16 across three full baths and a half. Getting between floors is easy in both directions: stairs connect all three levels, and a Savaria elevator serves every floor, a real help for grandparents, little kids, or anyone hauling luggage. Note that there are seven steps up to the main floor from the front entrance, so guests who cannot manage stairs can use the elevator instead.

Beyond the property line, Lake Norman keeps things convenient. Restaurants and shopping centers are close by, so grocery runs and dinners out never eat into lake time. Most days, though, the hardest decision is dock, pool, or fire pit.
