This house was perfect for my group of 8! We hosted a surprise weekend experience for my boyfriend's 25th birthday! It was a success! We were a group of couples, so each couple had a room of their own, with the addition of a glamping/tent experience for one couple in the backyard. We were able to enjoy all activities that the property had to offer (ping-pong, BBQ pit, pool, jacuzzi, outdoor shower, and outdoor lounge areas). There was plenty of space for all of us. The neighborhood is very quiet and serene which is perfect for a relaxing get away. Grocery stores, restaurants, and thrift shops were just a quick 3-10 minute drive away. I would definitely book this home again, but maybe with a smaller group of 6 instead of 8. The only inconvenience we encountered was a neighbor that approached our front door because he was triggered by my friend's 1 year old puppy that was barking, in the car (with windows down), in our driveway for about 10 minutes, waiting for his owners to gather their belongings inside and leave the property (due to the no pet policy). The neighbor made comments about feeling like the dog was going to attack him. We gave him advice to just stay away from the car if he felt uneasy. My friend's proceeded to wait by the car so the puppy would stop barking. The neighbor said thank you and proceeded to go to his home. After believing the issue was resolved at that moment, we were contacted by the property managers of Avant Stay because the neighbor ended up filing a complaint. Avant Stay gave us the opportunity to present our side. In addition, Avant Stay offered an apology for the inconvenience the neighbor caused and sent us a sweet gift of champagne and orange juice the following morning. Overall, we received a very professional and compassionate experience with the managers of this home during our stay. This home is perfect for larger groups, however, I'd be weary of sensitive neighbors when booking in this area the next time around.
Overall, this is a beautiful stay. You cannot go wrong booking this place. The home looks exactly as the pictures. The view in the mornings and night are amazing. The home itself comes fully equipped with a game room and two kitchens. Which was helpful on my trip with a large group of people as we had a lot of cooking to do.
The property manager went out of her way to make sure we were fully satisfied with our stay. Nothing was missing in the home, anything you could possibly need was readily available.
About the one and ONLY downfall to the location was the pool had no heating. The pool is always essential to your vacation stay and you wish to spend the majority of time there. It’s the primary reason we chose this location for our stay. However this was not the case in our stay there.
Without exaggeration the pool is extremely cold and you cannot stay but a few minutes. I can assume that the pool heating is not a problem in the summer time because it gets really hot out there. However the rest of the year I would say is necessary. Our stay was in late October.
The property manager explained that they are in the works to getting the necessary equipment to be able to soon heat the pool.
Nevertheless with that being the only flaw at the moment I am completely happy to give this place a 5/5 star rating because the rest of the home is that great.
We look forward to probably booking here again someday!
Believe it or not, this place totally undersells itself on photos and description. We were a party of 10 with dog and there was HEAPS of space. The living/dining/kitchen fit all of us easily with loads of seating with the record player on in the background while we played one of there many board games or cards- picture perfect. Outside was Heaven! We only came in between 4-6 when the sun was at a particular angle in our eyes. Other than that, we lived out there. It gets hot in the day so we took a group walk every morning and night. Pickle ball in the morning.This does not even bring up how thoughtfully stocked the entire house was. Seasonings, oil, tea, coffee, sugar. Incredibly well thought out stock of kitchen goods- meat thermometer, loads of storage for food/containers, etc. Bedrooms were great. One massive master where we put our 2 kids on the foam matresses on the floor (15yo took over the closet:-) and the other three rooms each with queen size bed all the same size and perfectly sized. We literally cannot say enough good things! We are a very well traveled group that came from Tahoe, San Diego, New Zealand to gather. We could not be happier with the space given to us to reconnect!FYI- there are heaps of grocery stores, etc just 5-10 minutes from the house. Cacti were blooming!
