If you're flying, LAX is 114 miles (about a 2 hour drive) from Big Bear. And if you want to fly private, you can go directly to Big Bear Airport (RBF) in the San Bernardino Mountains. Either way, we recommend renting a car once you land to get around town. If you're heading to the slopes, there are free local shuttles offer transportation from the parking lots to Bear Mountain and Snow Summit.
