Make Telluride your next getaway

Telluride, once Colorado's best-kept secret, is now the most sought-after destinations for its stunning landscapes and endless outdoor activities. If you're visiting during the winter, prepare to spend the majority of your time on-mountain, where a lift pass gives you access to more than 2,000 acres of skiable terrain. The summer attracts climbers and mountain bikers, plus fans of the iconic cultural events hosted in town: the Telluride Film Festival and the Telluride Bluegrass Festival.

Outdoor activities abound year-round in Telluride. Winter is perfect for skiing and snowboarding, while the summer is an ideal warmth for the region's festivals.

The airport most people use for Telluride is The Montrose Regional Airport (MTJ)...which is unfortunately (a scenic) 65 miles away. However, you can fly even closer via Telluride Regional Airport, which is only 6 miles away. The good news is that plenty of companies serve the route between Montrose and Telluride, and you don't really need a car once you arrive to Telluride. That said, if you do want to drive, rental cars are available at the airport, and plenty of people drive into Telluride from major cities like Denver and Albuquerque. There's also a shuttle to take you around the town once you make it there.
