Challenge: Help new short-term rental owners prepare their recently purchased condo for ski season and get off to a profitable start. 

Background

Mike and his wife have been visiting Vail every winter for the past 10 years. The two are avid skiers and love the coziness of the Bavarian-inspired village. In 2021, they finally made the decision to purchase a condo to use during ski season and occasionally during the summer months. Since the two only planned on using their condo for several weeks out of the year, they decided they wanted to operate it as a short-term rental to generate some additional income.  

By the time they purchased their condo in November 2021, they were approaching Vail’s opening weekend and felt overwhelmed as they raced to prepare the condo for ski season. Weekend occupancy rate: 75%

Results

After just one month of going live with AvantStay, Mike’s condo received 18 bookings and reached an occupancy rate of 65%, higher than Vail’s annual average of 60%
